Regaining a feeling of lightness with a whole-body approach
Lymphatic circulation plays an essential role in the body’s balance. When it slows down, you may notice heavy legs, swelling, water retention or a feeling of congestion.
I offer personalised care combining manual lymphatic drainage, osteopathy and, where relevant, tools from traditional Chinese medicine. This whole-body approach aims to support the circulation of fluids, improve comfort and help you regain a feeling of lightness.
Each course of care is adapted to your needs, your state of health and the context in which your symptoms appear.
When to consult?
Lymphatic drainage may be offered in particular in cases of:
- heavy legs;
- water retention;
- swelling of the limbs;
- a feeling of congestion or lack of lightness;
- recovery after surgery (with medical advice where necessary);
- support during certain periods of a woman’s life, such as pregnancy or postpartum, where indicated.
Each situation is assessed beforehand to determine whether lymphatic drainage is appropriate.
A whole-body approach to circulation
Lymphatic drainage is not just about working on one area of the body. I pay particular attention to all the factors that can influence circulation: tissue mobility, breathing, posture, tension in the diaphragm, physical activity, hydration and overall balance.
The aim is to offer coherent care that respects how your body works and fits your lifestyle.
What happens during a session?
The session begins with a conversation to understand your expectations, your history and your symptoms.
The drainage is carried out with slow, gentle, rhythmic manual movements designed to support lymphatic circulation. Depending on your needs, the session may be complemented by osteopathic work or personalised advice to get the most out of your care.
Contraindications
Lymphatic drainage is not indicated in certain situations, in particular acute infection, deep vein thrombosis, heart failure or certain conditions requiring prior medical advice.
If in doubt, please contact me before booking.
My approach
Every woman is unique. My aim is to offer you personalised care, with attentive and caring listening, to support your comfort and wellbeing in everyday life.
Because heavy legs or water retention can have several causes, I always favour a whole-body approach that takes into account your history, your lifestyle and the different stages of your life as a woman.
