Pregnancy is a period of profound change. As the months go by, the body adapts to the growing baby, which can lead to tension, pain or discomfort in the back, pelvis, ribs or limbs.
I support you throughout this period with a whole-body approach combining osteopathy, tools from traditional Chinese medicine and, where appropriate, prenatal yoga.
The aim is to help your body adapt more easily to these changes, to relieve functional tension and to guide you towards the most comfortable pregnancy possible.
When to consult?
A consultation can be considered at any point in pregnancy, according to your needs or on the advice of your health professional.
It may be indicated in particular in cases of:
- low back, mid-back or neck pain;
- pelvic or pubic symphysis pain;
- sciatica or ligament pain;
- rib tension or difficulty breathing;
- sleep disorders;
- stress or emotional overload.
A consultation at the end of pregnancy can also help support the body through the final adaptations before birth.
Gentle, appropriate care
The techniques used are always chosen according to your pregnancy, your comfort and your needs. I use gentle osteopathic techniques adapted to this particular period, respecting your body’s capacity to adapt.
Prenatal yoga, where offered, complements the care by giving you tools for breathing, mobility and body awareness that are useful throughout pregnancy and in preparation for birth.
